Our Origins: From Ceramic Craft to Outdoor Cooking

Auplex began as a specialized industrial ceramic manufacturer over 15 years ago, producing high-temperature ceramic components for industrial and kitchen equipment applications. Our early work focused on cordierite ceramic formulations engineered for extreme thermal cycling and food contact safety.

In 2014, we applied our ceramic expertise to the kamado grill category, launching our first full product line. At the time, many manufacturers treated kamados as simple commodity products, cutting corners on ceramic quality and construction. We set out to build a better grill by applying industrial ceramic standards to consumer and commercial outdoor cooking equipment.

Today, we are one of the few kamado manufacturers in the world that controls the entire production process in-house—from raw material formulation to final assembly and testing.

We control every step of production in our 20,000㎡ factory. Ceramic formulation, slip casting, glazing, firing, metal stamping, powder coating, and final assembly all happen under one roof. This eliminates quality variation from outsourced components and allows us to maintain strict standards at every stage.

2. Engineering Over Marketing

We prioritize performance and durability over marketing gimmicks. Every design decision is backed by testing data—thermal efficiency, temperature stability, thermal shock resistance, and component lifespan. We publish full specifications and test results because we believe buyers should make decisions based on verifiable facts, not brand hype.

3. Build for Long-Term Use

We design our grills to last, not to be replaced every few years. From thick cordierite ceramic bodies to heavy-duty metal hardware, every component is selected and engineered for years of reliable use. This reduces warranty costs for our distributors and builds end-user trust in their brands.
